Read Me First

This Work Health Safety & Environmental (WHSE) Site Management Plan (SMP) or Site Specific Workplace Plan (SSWP) will assist in meeting work health and safety obligations under the WHS Act 2011, WHS Regulations 2011 and Australian Government (1999): Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and includes processes in place for management of WHSE for this project. The SMP will be available for inspection by all relevant persons, including visitors, direct relevant workers, contractors, Health and Safety Representatives contractors, relevant workers of contractors and government appointed inspectors. This SMP will be monitored and updated as required and the most current copy will be kept on site for the duration of the project.

The SMP will include essential information for persons on site to ensure health and safety as far as is reasonable. This   will include roles and responsibilities of key personnel, health and safety representatives and participation arrangements, guides for resolving issues, site rules, and processes in place for hazard identification, risk assessment and controls, managing incidents, emergency response and review/monitoring procedures. The SMP includes essential information for tasks that are considered “High Risk” including the development of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and how these will be collected, assessed monitored and reviewed.

It is expected that all persons read and understand this SMP before starting work in relation to this project. SIlverback Pty Ltd requires all relevant persons to adhere to the contents of the SMP.  Failure to comply with the requirements of the WHSMP will lead to disciplinary action, which may include possible dismissal, loss of contract and legal action for severe breaches.
